Hi :D
I am a happy user of Freefilesync, but I have one slight concern: every one/two days I start Freefilesync, analyze for changes and do a sync if changes has been found. But every time it analyses/scans the files both on my PC and the destination folder on my NAS, the hard drives on both machines are being read.
Is it bad for the hard drives to go through scanning every (other) day? Or does this operation doesn't cause any harm to the hard drives long term (ie. not more harm then opening files, using applications, saving files etc. do) ?
Wear and tear hard drive?

Scanning every one/two days isn't even remotely what could be considered "heavy use". In any case if you're worried that you might lose data when a hard drive crashes, you probably have at least one backup too few...
