Not syncing files in My Documents (Win 8)

HI,
I’m new to FreeFileSync and I am trying to sync a USB stick to My Documents in Windows 8 desktop PC. The problem I have is the folders in My Documents are syncing fine but any files not in a sub folder of My Documents are being ignored and not synced. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

It's okay thanks, I found a program called GoodSync, have to pay for it but does the job.

You can pay for FFS, too, if you want ;) (check the symlink handling in comparison settings)
