Hello all.
I have just freshly installed FreeFileSync with a view to evaluating it as a replacement for Create Synchronocity, which seems somewhat more limited but does the basic job of syncing the folders on a few Windows computers here. The various folders are all synchonised to our (Debian 7 Linux) file server on a daily basis.
On running FreeFileSync, from an administrator account and using the "run as an administrator" option, I get the following error message:
Cannot write permissions of "\\SERVER\path\to\backup\folder\FFS\AviStack2".
Error Code 1314: A required privilege is not held by the client. (SetFileSecurity)
I have changed the actual server name & backup directory path in the message above.
Note that there is no permission error or other problem with Create Synchronicity; it just works and copies on a daily basis to the same server & backup folder structure.
Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Set menu->options: copy NTFS permissions back to the default (disabled) and it should work.

Thanks for that, I thought that I had done that but obviously not. As soon as I changed that setting, it worked.
