In case there is only one new file in one side, the Overview is not populated.
I have tried swapping folders with the dedicated button but Overview is still empty...

If the new file is below the base folder, then this is the expected behavior.

No, it was deeper at least 4 levels (I'm on phone and do not remember exactly).
Anyway I think, IMHO, that the Overview should always be populated...

That's actually a feature where single-element nodes are recursively removed for clarity.

Can you make it optional? With the new layout (see my other request) if only Item name is shown we cannot check the folder where the file is!

I have replicated the same sync and I confirm that the file wasn't on the base folder... This the log with the exact pathIf the new file is below the base folder, then this is the expected behavior.Zenju

I've revised the node compression function to only condense single-element file nodes but keep single-element folders:
