FFS 8.2 for Windows doesn't install

When it gets to "Install additional software" screen, no software options are shown, and "Next" button does nothing.

Windows 8.1

FFS 8.1 installed successfully.

Can you post a screenshot? Are you using some AV software? What operating system are you using? Anything else that is unusual about your setup?

Windows 8.1 x64 pro Russian
No AV besides Security Essentials

I've applied a fix to the ad component of the installer. Can you download from the FFS homepage again and see if the installation works now?

I switched off virus protection and windows firewall and rechecked - still the same.

What about this version:

With this version the dialog is in Russian, but still no content:

On the same network, install works fine on my laptops - Windows 7 pro x64 and Windows 8.1 x64 single language

8.3 same symptoms. Though works with /silent switch.

I've finally received a patch that should fix the crash issue:

No, sorry, still the same.

It could be some weird problem with my PC (though I ran windows files check and virus check - no problems found).

I can use /silent, or I guess I could transfer files from one of my laptops, or use portable install, so it's not a real problem for me. Still, if it would be interesting for you, I'd try new versions (excerpt, for the next month or so I'll be away).

update: 8.9 - no problem

8.4-8.5 still had this problem, 8.6-8.8 didn't try
