Newbie: Error trying SFTP connection setup

Unable to connect to "www.xxxxxxxx.yyy.zz".

Error Code 10060: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (WSAConnectByName)

Can I please get some advice on what might be wrong here.

What kind of SFTP server (OpenSSH RedHat, OpenSSH Ubuntu, etc.) are you trying to connect to?

I am just trying to synch some files from a VPS WinServer2008R2 box down to my local PC.

Windows Server 2008 R2 does not have a built in SSH server. Have you installed a SSH server on your Windows Server?
