Hi,
in the manual (https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=run-as-service) there is descibed to use the Windows task scheduler to do monitoring while Windows is running irrespective of currently logged in users.
Here is my question regarding the approach in the screenshot of the paragraph:
Why would I use a task with the trigger "daily" and not use a trigger like "on startup"?
Thanks for your hints in advance.

My guess would be blubdas, that the trigger on "startup" would only run once. It errors or hangs - it would need a restart functionality or command. Whereas with "daily" the system would try and fire the application each time at that day. It may help prevent it from stalling or crashing out and therefore asking it to run again by firing the next day. It's a poor way of making sure the service stays running if that is indeed the suggestion (daily vs on startup)
