It would be really handy if FFS could be configured to compare some (e.g. 10%) of the files each time it runs such that over the course of a certain number of runs (e.g. 10 runs) all of the files would have content compared. On the subsequent run, it would then compare the first set of files again. I'm not too concerned about which files are compared in each run, only that run times are reasonable and every file is checked occasionally.

Also, what happens if it finds a difference, and no copy / delete actions have been specified?

What if it's in a Windows schedule?

I'm using it for backups where most files are not updated frequently, so a) sync the new/updated files, then b) compare contents as above. If the compare finds a mismatch, I want to be notified. On an old file, I would need to examine the file to determine which copy is corrupt. In either case, I want to be notified, so I can take action if there's a hardware problem.
