Hi
I launch Freefilesync from Task Scheduler in Windows 10 Entreprise.
Usually I have a log file generated (by Freefilesync) where I can look for errors.
However since version 8.5 there is no more a log file generated. I cannot find anymore the option in FFS to make a log file and choose the folder where to write it.
Please help

Interesting.
I too don't see where LastSyncs.log is being created any more?
And didn't see anything noted in Changelog.txt pertaining to it?

GlobalSettings.xml still does reference 'LastSyncsLogSizeMax Bytes='.

Don't know if its a bug or if it was intentionally disabled?
(Changelog.txt alludes to issues over time with it.)

There hasn't been a change. There's still the catch-all %appdata%\FreeFileSync\LastSyncs.log and the job-specific log folder: https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=schedule-a-batch-job

Oooops.
Sorry about that.
Sure enough, LastSyncs.log is being created as expected.

(When I looked, my search string was "ffs*.log", including matching the path, which found older logs, where the directory structure was like C:\FFS with the file LastSyncs.log within, so that matched, but {dummy me} didn't account for the fact that the current FFS is in a directory named \FreeFileSync\, so it did not match "ffs" so didn't find the current LastSyncs.log. :slapshead:.)
