Check the status of a scheduled task

Ladies and Gents,
Apologies if I have missed something but is there any way to check the status of a scheduled task on a windows box.

To clarify: I can tell that the task is still running from the windows logs etc. I can tell the there is a disk access or network access from the process but not exactly sure what is happening with FFS itself.

Is there any way to tell if the task has not started to run correctly because it's waiting for a lock on the local or remote server etc.
