I just setup a HP Win 10 unit. Got everything all done. Last thing I did was to install FreeFileSync.
Rebooted and watched and waited all was Great! As usual with FreeFileSync.
Then it happened, it runs every 30 seconds. Its driving me crazy. Anyone else out there experiencing this?
I have Windows File History running, so this seems to be the only solution I can think of. Will go disable it.
Then see if this is it.
Please help if you can. I am brand new, but a Faithful FreeFileSync user.
Continous Syncing

Just to make things clear:
FreeFileSync (FFS) does not perform continuous syncs.
When run, it performs a single sync and then stops/exits.
In this post/reply you state you use RealTimeSync (RTS), that "ships" with FFS. RTS provides a sort of "continuous" sync.
RTS monitors specified folders for changes, and upon detecting any such changes launches FFS (or any other application you might specify).
Assuming you are running a Mirror or Update sync, RTS should obviously monitor the Source (normally: left) location; not the Target (normally: right) location.
Now, if any application (Windows File History?) would change files or attributes thereof, that might be recognized by RTS as a change, and trigger the launch of FFS.
So, you can then either stop using RTS and run FFS manually or via the Task Scheduler (e.g. at logoff or shutdown), or you might want to change (increase) the idle-time setting of RTS.

What I tried, OH FIRST thanks, was stopping the Windows 10 File History. Thought it may make RTS run.
Noticed that it still ran. So I just did the obvious, I had it not "popup" so problem kinda solved.
Obviously not experienced but love setting these parameters to do what the software can do.
On my PC I have never had this issue, only at start up they run, then when I am actually in the folders or open a doc.
I truly love the software. I have placed the shortcuts into a folder on the C drive for safe keeping, then of those shortcuts I copied them into the "Startup Folder" in Windows 10 machine. Which is same process I use on my PC.
I actually have like 7 RTS going on for me. 4 are always on others are as needed. Thank you for your response very much. It seems that I was at least on the right track here.
One last thought or question please. When you setup FFS (project) then save as file, then run RTS to open that file then save as, is that RTS file actually running at that moment or is it written so as to actually run after the PC is booted? I just thought if I place them manually in the startup folder all is fixed. Hope I asked it right. Thank you in advance.

Yes it is a Mirror update left to right.
