Hi,
Never had an issue with this great software until the recent build. Up to date as of today (cannot check as software is currently frozen).
Plugged in external WD hard drive via USB 3 cable for a backup, as I would always do without issue. Now, once I start the backup, the software hangs. It displays "0.00% Synchronizing" and just sits there. This happened me yesterday, and there was absolutely nothing I could do to unfreeze it. I literally had to hold the power button down on my PC, as it wouldnt even restart due to the software hang.
I then tried it again once my PC rebooted, and it just sat there for hours, eventually giving me the following error message:
"Error Code 121: The semaphore timeout period has expired. [CopyFileEx]"
My Specs are:
Windows 10 Pro, 64bit
I7
32gb RAM
Samsung SSD for C drive
WD External 4TB for external drive.
Thank you.

I see there has now been another update to this software. I installed it, hoping that it would cure the freezes I have had with this software. Unfortunately this is not the case. Now, simply navigating to the folder which I want to back up, causes FFS to freeze. The annoying thing is, NOTHING will unfreeze it. It's totally unresponsive to Task Manager, and locks access to the HDD, meaning I literally have to turn my PC off. This WAS an excellent piece of software, but for whatever reason, is no longer something I can trust. Thank you for being so good for so long, but I will now find an alternative.

The error above (Error Code 121: The semaphore timeout period has expired) is unrelated to FreeFileSync, and indicates a more general issue with your system.
