Ok guys, I was big fan using Free File Sync for past 1,5 year.
Today I was copying last two cards from yesterday wedding.
Everything was fine. "Just in case" I analyzed my SD card and folder containing all the footage. It showed I was missing some files in folder containing all the footage, so I stared Syncing. After sync there were some issues in log. And some folder with .recyclebin<something blablabla> . BOOM! All the footage gone! 1 fucking video in recycle bin!
What has happened?!
FFS deleted 250GB of wedding footage!

Hi Lukas,
I hope you had managed to recover your lost files.
If not, I recommend you Recuva from Piriform, is free and effective.
DON'T use the pc where you have lost your files because almost certainly you will end up overwriting them.
So use another pc to download the Recuva portable version
http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download/portable
and follow the instructions at this link:
https://www.piriform.com/recuva/features/portable-version
Speaking of FFS, my setup for making a backup is as follow:
Synchronization settings:
Variant: Mirror with all the Category Actions like in the first image at this link:
https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=synchronization-settings
[x] Detect moved files
Delete files: Versioning in a folder on the same disk as the destination folder but obviously in a folder not involved in the synchronization.
https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=versioning
How is your setup?
Look like it is set to delete files to the Recycle Bin.
Keep in mind that the Recycle Bin has a capacity seldom managed with care by the user, and when fill-up to that capacity it purge itself beginning with older deleted files.
To set up the Recycle-Bin capacity look at Recycle Bin Options at this link:

Hope this help.
