When I click on "compare", some temporary files beginning by "~" are shown but they no longer exist on my disk. I checked with the option showing masked files enable in explorer.

I do not understand why FreeFile Sync find them.

Thanks

Hi,

try setting File Explorer to not hide protected operating system files, follow this tutorial, step 3 and step 5:

That was not the point : I permanently set explorer so as not to hide protected operating system files .

As I wrote
I checked with the option showing masked files enabled in explorer.
, and there were no hidden file on y disk. FreeFileSync just kept track of hidden files that existed in the past but no longer exist

The options to check to view ALL files are two and you were talking about "option" and not about "options"...
