Hello,
I've only been using FFS for a few weeks, and it seems like it was running perfectly but I am getting this error for the last week or so (see attached).
I just upgraded to 9.6 (x64) and the issue continues to present itself, and I did try running FFS as administrator but the issue still persists. Windows 7 x64 machine.
I have a NETWORK SHARE (\\FS01) attached to my router that is easily accessible via windows explorer and I am using a 2 WAY sync setting to files on my C:\ drive.
Any ideas? Thanks!
(SOLVED) Cannot move file to sync.ffs_db... Access is denied

Try disabling the real-time protection of your antivirus before running the sync and re-enable it at the end.

Thank you for the response, I tried that, disabling Norton auto-protect, but FFS throws the same error.

I'm happy to find the solution to my problem, hopefully this can help someone down the line.
It turns out that the external 2TB HDD set as a share attached to my router had some 'indexing' errors that CHKDSK found and resolved.
So far everything I had set up in FFS is now back to normal and running smooth!
