This must have been asked before but I couldn't find it. I have a batch running when logged in from the startup folder (Real Time Sync) and it is constantly mirroring two volumes. However, when I open say a Word document, it makes the temp file ~$filename.doc. FFS creates that file then goes into my Revisions folder when closed. If I were to add ~$*.* would that work under filters that go along with the usual list below or should the syntax be something different?
\System Volume Information\
\$Recycle.Bin\
\RECYCLER\
\RECYCLED\
*\desktop.ini
*\thumbs.db
Exclude TEMP Open Files
PS: I tried using the filter ~$*.* under exclude and it still syncs it. Tried looking at the help but cannot seem to get the correct syntax for excluding those temp files yet.
SOLVED: I managed to try it with a leading '*' which I believe makes it relative to the base directory? Is that correct? Anyway, the following worked. >>> *~$*.*
