Scheduled Task will not run - dialog open

I have created a scheduled task that runs great the 1st time. However the diaglog box that shows the program status stays open and the task will not run while the "program is active". (i.e. the dialog box open). Is there an easy to close the dialog box? Or do I need to create a task to end the program?
