Question about setting up an additional client

I've been using Freefilesync for over a year now, and it's fantastic.

I now need to sync two computers to my NAS, so that the data on both computers is identical. (I won't be using both laptops at the same time)

I imagine that I just set up another NAS<>Laptop sync on the new laptop, but I'd appreciate confirmation or suggestions before I do so.
I notice that each folder share on the NAS contains a folder called .syncing_db and a sync.ffs_db in addition to a sync.ffs_lock file. The former might be a QNAP file. Should these be excluded from synchronisation?

Will my proposed arrangement result in one laptop overwriting these sync files and causing synchronisation problems?
