Using 9.7 right now. I use FreeFileSync to backup to a NAS drive via FTP. It gives me a nice password protected backup that should be mostly immune to things like ransom-ware. I love this program.
The problem I have is is that I get FTP errors such as:
Cannot open directory "...
CURLE_RECV_ERROR: response reading failed [curl_easy_perform]
These always resolve themselves with a retry and I think they usually occur during the compare. It may always be the compare, I'll watch that. But in general it is a pain to babysit the backup waiting for one of these errors to show up.
The retry on error option doesn't seem to help here. I see an ignore errors check box that is now displayed during the compare but that makes me nervous. I don't like ignoring errors I want to know the backup completed and everything is now in sync.
What I wish I could do is tell FreeFileSync to retry a few times before giving up.

Support for "auto-retry" and "ignore errors" during comparison has been implemented for FreeFileSync 10.3.
