Zenju - do you publish a list of changes you're implementing? I know sometimes we start working on something for the current version and due to difficulties it gets pushed to a later release. But it would be nice to know what may/should be coming in the near future. Thanks!!

There is no published list, but the major feature for the next version will be multithreaded file I/O, i.e. the ability to run multiple file operations in parallel. This will be most useful for high-latency scenarios, like FTP, SFTP.

Oh, almost forgot maybe an even bigger change: The plan is for the next version, FreeFileSync 10, to completely get rid of the installer-advertisements, that keep triggering AV all the time. A bit of a scary move considering a somewhat unknown impact on the financing, but FFS is not like big, slow companies that never change and are risk-averse. In the best case, donations would compensate to some degree, but maybe not ... we'll see :)

I will consider a donation if I no longer get a virus/trojan horse warning :-)

I fully understand the dilemma and the risk that an excellent program like FFS may die due to lack of funds. I also think that Pup's offer poor remuneration, so you should study another method. . . :)
As for me, I just paid 10 euros.

Relatedly, would you be interested in sharing the source tree in a version control system? I appreciate the source code from your tarballs, but with the source tree, the guys who package it could have an easier time seeing changes and contributing to the project.
