I tried to sync with a folder on my Buffalo LinkStation LS520D, when I try to select folder for sync I got the message
The selected folder "This PC\LS520Dccb[LinkStation Media Server\Folders\Public\RepFolder" cannot be used with FreeFileSync.
Please select a folder on a local file system, network or an MTP device.
Is FreeFileSync not an option for my LS520D or will it be an option in the future?
Thank you.

What path is this? A network path? Is the single "[" a typo?

The error message is an exact quote from FreeFileSync message except typo, did not type in closing ] after Media Server]

A few screenshots showing the path in Windows Explorer would also help.

I was able to map the RepFolder folder as a drive and everything worked. Previously, I had a shortcut to the public folder.

I assume other applications are also unable to work with what seems to be a custom file system implementation for Windows Explorer?
