In the past the FFS installer pushed junkware and some of it, very undesirable. As a result, I've not upgraded in years and over many releases. The issue was that there were little obscure radio buttons, or opt-outs during the install which, if you missed them, meant you inherited some junkware which might be difficult to remove. So I'm gunshy of the FFS install process and do not upgrade.
Can anyone comment on the current state of the junkware trickery during install? Has it been fixed? How do we protect ourselves or prevent it? Thanks a lot in advance.
