I'm running FFS 9.8 on MX Linux 17.1 x64. This is the latest version of MX, which is a debian derivative.
I'm running into routine large hangs during mirror jobs. Usually I mirror USB sticks, but sometimes it's hard drive to hard drive.
For instance, I just did a 4GB mirror, divided among 3 USB sticks. Total time was just under 20 minutes, and several times during the job the progress meter just sat there not moving.
I don't know if linux is caching the files, or what. Is there a way to deal with this problem? It is significant when workflow is waiting on the USBs to be updated.
Also, I can't find the log file for the various jobs. I wanted to see if there were any clues there.
Thanks for any insight.
