I've been having trouble downloading large files larger than 500MB for a while.
It's a FTP server (IIS) with SSL in the data center.
Also an update to version 10.5. and the new FTP timeout function does not help.

Error:
"[19:30:11] Info: The file" *.exe "can not be read.
CURLE_OPERATION_TIMEDOUT: FTP response timeout
125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting. [Curl_easy_perform] "

The files are downloaded once and repeated. This will take about 10 hours to download the open files.

Can you help me?

Thank You!

What does FreeFileSync show for "bytes/sec"? Currently there shouldn't be any timeout imposed other than what is user-configurable. During FTP transfer if the "bytes/sec" is 0 for the number of seconds that are set as time out, an error such as the above would be shown.

Hi,

i updated to 10.6 but the error still occurs.
160MB files syncronized. 700MB files are not synced

CURLE_OPERATION_TIMEDOUT: FTP response timeout
125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting. [curl_easy_perform]
-> Automatische Wiederholung
[20:13:12] Info: Erstelle Datei "XXXX.exe"
[21:22:56] Fehler: Die Datei "XXXX.exe" kann nicht gelesen werden.

I attached a screenshot from the sync from the big file

How does the screenshot and the log message relate? The log indicates a runtime until failure of over an hour ([20:13:12] - [21:22:56]) while on the screenshot it's only 11 min with 1,3 MB/sec.

the screenshot and the log fit's together.
I have set a repetition and a timeout of 1200sec. so it takes one hour for this single file
