Synchronize new files

Hello fiends,
1) Is possible to synchronize only the files of a certain date for example today?
2) If the above is possible, how to recognize if it is a new file so that the process updates in an FTP only what it has not previously copied, that is, only the new files (by date and file name). The problem I have is that the FTP files are deleted once they were processed so I need to identify which file was already copied in previous executions to avoid duplication.
