I'm wondering if FreeFileSync does anything during the file copying process to make sure that there's no corruption and the copied files are completely identical to the originals. Does it automatically compare files after the copying is finished, or do I need to do that manually?
For example, after copying files from one drive to another, do I need to confirm that those files have been successfully copied without errors by doing a comparison with the "File Content" option? Or does the program check each file for errors during the copying process itself?
Built in safeguards to avoid corruption during file copying process?

You can use the VerifyCopiedFiles option.
See the Expert Settings Manual page.
It is the best you can do, but no guarantee.
Make sure to read the article referenced in the Expert settings (Does the CopyFile function verify that the data reached its final destination successfully? ).
