Can't update since version 7.3

Running Windows 10 and haven't been able to update since August. Followed the instructions, hit next and then the update screen just closes. Thank you for any help.

I suspect there is some unintended interaction with a third-party program, maybe a virus scanner or a firewall.
Maybe if you send me a log file for the operation I can see something that's not expected:
Start up a Process Monitor (https://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx) trace, retry the operation and let it fail, stop the trace and send the pml file to me via email for analysis.

I shut down Windows firewall and all other security/virus programs and it still would not update.
I downloaded windown process monitor but the help file won't open and the help command inside the program can't access the help file.

You mean Process Monitor's help file? Are you running the tool from a network share? Help files won't run from there.
