Working while syncing

Is it OK to work using other files and programs while a sync is being done?

I sometimes run mine with other stuff running as long as I'm not syncing what's being ran elsewhere. But even so I would think it still can be done but the sync would reflect the last save of an item which might not be current if it's process is running simultaneously. Here are things to be aware of.
(1) It will make current running processes including FFS run a bit slower depending on what else you're running and the power of your computer.
(2) But more pertinently if you want to sync any files that are in use (their last saved state) then you need check your menu item, Tools->Options window. Here check the 2nd box for Copy Locked files. This requires starting FFS with admin privileges. (I keep all 3 of the boxes in that window checked on mine)
You can right click and choose run as admin OR for a permanent setting, right click and choose Properties->Advanced to set it Run as Admin on every start.
