I have two suggestions:
1. While FFS is running, the display shows n.nn MB/sec and n.nn items/sec. With the latter, if you are syncing large files, you can get very small numbers, even 0.00 items /sec. It may be helpful if the inverse was also shown (secs/item). That would be more meaningful. And, for sake of consistency, secs/MB could also be shown after MB/sec.
2. Sometimes I update a specific file, and when I sync, it does not show, because somehow it is filtered out. I have to copy/paste the exclude filters to a notepad, and try to find the filter responsible. With wildcards, sometimes this is hard. My suggestion is:
Have a dialog box where you can enter a filename, and let FFS find the filter(s) which exclude(s) it, or, better still,
Allow an "override" to the exclude filters, so a given file is not excluded:
Main include filter: * (the default)
Various exclude filters, including (say) *\*.zip
Override exclude, (say) *\MyFile.zip - so that all .zips are excluded, except MyFile.zip
