Hi,
I run a batch job every day to sync files from my computer to my web server. The issue is that FFS takes too much time to compare the files. As around 1000-2000 files are generated on a daily basis through our workflow, the time taken was alright in the initial days, but after 10-12 days now it takes almost 10 minutes just for the comparison.
I wonder what is going to happen after 2 or 3 months??
Is there any way to speed things up? Is there any indexing function?

I use the last version of freefilesync in windows 10 and i need to compare and sync mirroring 1to of data (contain compare methode).
When i use it, i have often 1 to 30go to add, but it take more than 4 hours to compare but few minutes obiouvsly to add.
It's very very long process

The best way to make compares and syncs faster is to make the hardware faster on both sides. Faster storage access and upgrading networking is the best way. 1gb is the most common speed, and that in combination with mechanical drives can be slow for a lot of small files.
