It seems that FreeFileSync copies files in the order that corresponds to breadth-first search. Please allow the user to choose depth-first search instead, at least as an option. Depth-first search is default in most other software, and is more intuitive.
Depth-first search is also much better in cases when the sync is stopped for some reason. Because then the result will be: "directories of projects A,B,C are copied entirely, directory of project D partially, directories of projects E,F,G not at all" instead of "it is unclear which of the projects were copied entirely, possibly none of them".
