Reporting an Issue regarding FTP

i hab a problem with FTP syncing.
i found it quite interesting, because this problem happened with my phone, but my wife´s phone worked like it should.

i started syncing with FTP with my wife´s phone (xiaomi redmi note 5, MIUI 11.xxx global rom)
when i put ftp://192.168.0.24:8080/DCIM/Camera/ it did what it should.

but when i synced with my phone (redmi note 7 pro, MIUI 11.xxx global rom)
i had to use this path in order to work
ftp://192.168.0.24:8080/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera/

(i needed 2 hours to find that error)
do you know why this happened?

From your post it seems the mentioned two ftp-paths relate to the specific phones (or phone settings) and, if anything, are a phone- rather than a FreeFileSync "issue".
Nevertheless: good to be aware of.

Both location specifications should actually point to the same location.

it was just confusing, that ftp://192.168.0.24:8080 led to an error in FFS so im´n not sure, if this is just phone related.

What was the error? Couldn't connect?
The phone doesn't allow a connection to that location but rather the longer one. That is a phone difference, nothing with FFS.
