Unknown Stream Format

My laptop no longer works, so I just got a Surface Pro. The hard drive is so small that I put my document file on a Micro SDHC card. I was syncing it with my USB drive which I carry to my work computer.

I synced the files and this message came up:

Database file
M:\Documents\syn.ffs_db" is incompatible

unknown stream format

Setting default synchronization directions:
old files will be overwritten with newer files

I put Ignore, and it seemed to work in syncing the files. What does the error message mean, and do I need to worry about it?
