D is my data drive, G is my backup drive.
The mirror comparison specs are D: --> G:
I want all folders of G: and their subfolders considered, but would like to exclude ALL files in the root of G:. My reason for wanting to do this is that I place backup images in the root of G: and don't want them erased. I realize I could filter root files specifically, as *.tib, but I'd like a global exclusion that applies to all root files.

You can use an include filter "*\*" to only process files/folders located in sub-folders. See the help file on "exclude items"

Zenju thanks for your post. That syntax you suggest is not listed in my help file. I'm using Version 5, Jan, 2012 build. You can use an include filter "*\*" to only process files/folders located in sub-folders. See the help file on "exclude items"Zenju
The exclude items section has nothing about this that I can see.
Thanks ... Sam
