I have about 80 GB that I am syncing for the first time, its been as low as a 200K per second, and as high as about 5MB per second. I have a MacBook Pro with AC wireless, and am backing up to a Mac Time Capsule. Not sure why the performance is so low. I would think I should be averaging 20 MB per second minimum.
Any thoughts on the issue?

Most likely due ti the connection, either noise in the environment or some other factor. Wireless kind of sucks for data transfers because of its volatility. Also, file size and count affects speed pretty heavily
