Hello,
with Debian sid and XFCE4 the color theme is too dark in FreeSync version 10.19.
Sometimes I cannot read the GUI entries at all, please see the attached screenshots.
Is there any way to change the theme?
Sincerely yours
Axel Dürrbaum

Is this an issue only with FreeFileSync or with wxWidgets-based applications in general (e.g. FileZilla, Audacity)? In general FFS doesn't explicitly set colors, but gets them from wxWidgets, which (hopefully) requests them from GTK2.

Themes in Debian XFCE4 can be changed via Applications->Settings->Appearance.
The FFS colors are basically correctly set according to the theme. There is just one major problem with wxSYS_COLOUR_GRAYTEXT which renders the same black as the background. This is a bug/oversight of the dark theme.

I've noticed a different issue, that FFS can in fact fix: Black graphics with alpha channel aren't visible on a black background. I've added a semi-transparent white outline for those images (e.g. black arrows):
