Freesync very slow on empty mirror folder (25kbs on usb3.0)

Hi, I run a mirror operation between my HD and an empty folder on an external HD.
Windows file copy reaches 80mbs on copying files to this drive via usb3.0.
When I ask Free filesync to create a mirror to an empty destination folder, files are copied at speeds ranging from 17mb right down to 25kbs.

Check your AV or other software that might be interfering. E.g. Windows Defender definitively has the capability to slow down internet access to a crawl for applications it doesn't like.
