I'm using FreefileSync (version 10.20) on ElementaryOS 5.1.2 (Hera). When I try to synchronize my Samsung Galaxy S7 with my Laptop, I get this error message:

Cannot set directory locks for the following folders:

Cannot write file "/run/user/1000/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A002%2C005%5D/Card/DCIM/sync.ffs_lock".
Error Code 95: Vorgang wird nicht unterstützt [open]

What am I doing wrong?

I am getting the same error on MX Linux 18.3. Never had a problem syncing my phone (Samsung A8) using FFS on Windows 10, but I've been unsuccessful on Linux so far.

Right. I don't have problems on windows 10. It's one of the few reasons I still need Windows 10. Unfortunately!

PS: Funny thing. It worked some time in the past. Maybe It was another version of FreeFileSync or I mounted the smartphone differently (something like I opened the directory at a file browser before I startet FreeFileSync).
