Backup Hyper-V and Versioning

Hello,

i have a Microsoft Hyper-V Server with some virtual Linux and Windows Machines running.
Now I would like to Backup the Hyper-V Storage Files to a FreeNAS Storage.

Can I do this whith FreeFileSync? Can I setup to have FreeFileSync create a Folder when the job is running? Versioning like a normal Backup Software would do so?

I will run the task with Windows task management.

What do you think about a restore of the virtual machine to hyper v? will it work?

Aren't they just using VHDs? Which are just regular files, so FFS would work fine. You may need to run as admin and enable copying locked files using VSS.
