Since v10.20 impossible to "safely remove usb drive"

Good day all,

I have been using FFS for quite a while, on different systems. Since I upgraded to v10.20 I encounter the following problem: after having synced files to my external usb drive, I encounter a problem when I want to "safely remove" that usb drive (it is an usb attached ssd, and i am using Windows 10 resp Windows 8.1). The process which "blocks" the removal, is systematically process with PID=4, which is a system process.

Anyone else observes the same problem with v10.20?

Does this hang still occur in FFS 10.21?

@Zenju: for some reason I seem to have missed the release of 10.21.
Installed release 10.22 just now, so it's too soon to make a statement.
Will keep you posted.

I do not experience this behavior with an external Samsung SSD, just chiming in. But, maybe Windows defender is doing some scanning still and that locks the drive?
