Hi,
Using FreeFileSync to create off line copies of a NAS that contains a mix of unrestricted content and some folders where special user accounts and passwords are needed to get access. The admin account on the NAS is not the same as the admin account on the PC running FreeFileSync nor can it be used at all locally. Is there a way to specify the user account to be used to get access to the source when this is not the same as the account used locally for running the program?
Access certain folders with specific user account

(Assuming Windows) you can define the user-credentials with which your PC/laptop connects to a network resource in the Credential Manager. And those credentials may differ from those of the Windows account being used.
However, for any given Windows user, Window is only able to connect to a network resource under single credentials, so a Windows user can not connect to (sub)folder A and (sub)folder B under different user credentials if A and B reside on the samen network resource.
Obviously, different Windows users can connect to a network resource under different credentials.

Ok, so the options i Windows are:
1) disconnect your current drive mapping with limited access and create a new mapping using credentials with full access to all the folders that you want to copy from.
2) grant full access the folders for the credentials already used in your drive mapping.
It is not possible to specify specific credentials inside FFS.
Thank you, Plerry.
