Hi,
I have been using FFS almost 10yrs now, syncing my very valuable 16GB/10GB used USB 3.0 Memory Stick contents into the OneDrive folders on my Laptop, almost daily, with some 10-100 changes, and everything has gone smoothly, so far, always in some 2-5mins, fine!
Now for business purposes, I begun to widen the concept to 2 more same type of Sticks and Laptops, copying/cloning the basic Stick contents to the 2 new Sticks, so, that at zero point they got all exact the same with the same contents.
Then I began to sync the 2 new Sticks on their own Laptops into their OneDrive folders, but now there happened some incredible thing! The sync process begun to take ages, first time totally 16hrs! with estimates there between were from some 2-5hrs to 4400days!!! on both the new Sticks on their own Laptops!
Next I noted that the basic Stick sync did begin with some 1hrs initialization-phase, and then syncing
1-20 items some 30mins! This is incredible!
The FFS installations were just in a week upgraded to or installed as v10.22, but also with v10.18 this same phenomen was seen …
What would be causing this suddenly upcoming problem/nuisance?
For info, my OneDrive space is 1TB, and used just at just 50GB level, and all the Laptops are all up-to-date otherwise excellent working Windows 10 Pro v1909 build 18363.720 machines.
I hope there will be some explanation and solution to this problem very soon, as the Sticks are now in a daily use and should be synced to their own OneDrive folders, during an hour-two one by one close the same time, and thus also with each others, on a daily basis.
Best regards,
PeteVfi

Try manually copying the files and check speeds. Sounds like an issue unrelated to FFS

Hi,
OK, thanks xCSxXenon for Your reply.
Now, the case is solved!
Here You have a report on this case, noting that the status on it now having got come to a satisfactory level, Great!
You can image, how about scared I was on the beginning of this FFS usage widening project, as it seemed first on initial rounds so incredible with some 14 to 63hrs two-way sync times! But, luckily after several more sync rounds on each stick/laptop pair the sync times did land to some reasonable levels, and with the pair No 1. to the previous original 2-5mins level!
So, here are the details of the specifications on each equipment pair:
No 1.
Memory Stick no 1 Original 16GB/10GB used USB 3.0 on USB 2.1 adapter
Laptop no 1 Processor AMD Turion TL-56 2core 1.8GHz/1MB (64-bit) 3GB / 128GB SSD
First time two-way sync with Stick 1/Laptop 1 with it's own OneDrive 10GB folder/s sync time -> 14+hrs, so, quite a long time ...
Next syncs with some 1-10 changes ab. 30 to 10mins, but then now lately only some 2-3mins, A Record! Great!
No 2.
Memory Stick no 2 Copy(Clone) 16GB/10GB used USB 3.0 on USB 3.0 adapter
Laptop no 2 Processor Intel Celeron 2957U 2core 1.4GHz/2MB (64-bit) 4GB / 500GB HD
First time two-way sync with Stick 2/Laptop 2 with it's own OneDrive 10GB folder/s sync time -> 16+hrs, so, quite a long time ...
Next syncs with some 1-10 changes ab. 30 to 10mins, but then now lately only some 6-8mins, so, about OK!
No 3.
Memory Stick no 3 Copy(Clone) 16GB/10GB used USB 3.0 on USB 3.0 adapter
Laptop no 3 Processor Intel Core i3-330M/3MB 2core/4thread (64-bit) 6GB / 120GB SSD
First time two-way sync with Stick 3/Laptop 3 with it's own OneDrive 10GB folder/s sync time -> 63+hrs! So, Incredible!!!
Next syncs with some 1-10 changes ab. 30 to 10mins, but then now lately only some 6-8mins, so, about OK!
All these 3 Laptops are in excellent shape, installed with Windows 10 Pro v1909 build 18363.720, and their own OneDrive storage folders themselves is exactly the same on all these 3 Systems.
OK, anyway, thanks a lot for all your interest on this case, hopefully being helpful for someone and be giving some lead to some case!
