Hi,

I have downloaded FFS to assist me in handling picture files, but I'm having problems figuring it out:

I have a number of folders under C:/pictures named "2016", "2017" and so forth containing pictures. Furthermore, I have a "mixed folder" with some pictures, and I want to check if the "mixed folder" picures are already in the "year folders".

When I choose the "mixed folder" in left panel and the main picture folder (C:/pictures) in the right panel and click "Compare", the program lists all files as being only present either solely on left or right side, even though some pictures are present both places.

Example: [Left panel relative path] "IMG_0095.JPG" vs [Right panel relative path] "2017 IMG_0095.JPG"

Those two files are exact the same!

I tried with comapring using "file content", but the same happens.

What am I doing wrong?

Best regards, STB

Plerry

FFS only compares identically named files in the root of the left and right base location or in identically named (sub)folder path relative to the left and right base location.
What you seem to need is a duplicate finder tool. FFS does not have that capability.
