I searched through the forums but could not find a solution. Apologies if it has been answered already.

I have mistakenly permanently deleted an important file but have been able to recover a ffs_tmp file that was created when that file was being synced. Is there anyway to recover my original file using the ffs_tmp file? If so, how?

Rename the file extension to that of the original file and try to open it with the associated program.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that (removing the .ffs_tmp and replacing with the original file extension) but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to open correctly with the associated program. Rather, I see encoded/garbled characters. I figured it was a long shot, but wanted to see if FFS could somehow use the ffs_tmp file to recover some, if not all, of the file contents.
