error 0x1ac3 (sync.ffs_lock)

Warning Cannot set directory locks for the following folders:
Cannot write file "D:\CALIBRE LIBRARY\#1 JUYA\sync.ffs_lock".
Error code 0x1ac3: The operation could not be completed because the volume is dirty. Please run chkdsk and try again.

Nothing is wrong with the drive. Had been able to sync data with no problem until today.

What has happened? I checked the disk. No problems. I tried doing a reinstall of FFS. Updated to latest ver.

Is FFS no longer a viable program?

Program is fine. The dirty bit is set on that drive. Did you run "chkdsk /f D:" in an elevated CMD?
