taskbar vs system tray

When I started a batch task nothing happened so I tried several times until I discovered that I had a dozen icons in the system tray. I don't want that; I want to see in the taskbar what my laptop is doing but in the settings menu I could not find a way to change this.
How do I let FreeFileSync minimize everething it's doing to the taskbar?

The batch files show only in system tray when you run them minimized. You would have to change the settings to not run minimized. That will unfortunately run the sync in a visible window that you would have to then click the '-' to minimize to the taskbar.
