Deactivation of Donation Installation

I have purchased a three user donation package.
If I use up all three activations, how do I transfer one of them to another machine, or am I stuck with the first three only?

From the Donation Edition download page:

(*) When a new FreeFileSync version is installed, older versions (on unused devices) are not considered anymore. Similarly, installations on virtual machines also do not increase the overall device count.
