Hi all,
I've been using FreeFileSync to synchronize all of my machines with my file server and I linked my Google Drive to use as an offsite backup. The first time I did this it worked perfectly, however, subsequent attempts fail to connect and cycle through whatever number of automatic retries I set. I've tried deleting the connection and relinking the account but the problem persists. Having gdrive isn't a deal-breaker - FreeFileSync works great for syncing my machines - but it would be nice to have it up and running. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would appreciate the assistance.
Thanks!

Any error messages? Can you log into the web version of G drive?

Thanks for the reply xCSxXenon,
I was getting failure to connect/automatic timeout errors, it would timeout and then cycle through however many auto retries I set it to. I could use gdrive's web interface but it runs significantly slower, like 3 hours vs. 3 days. I did a wipe/reinstall linux for an unrelated reason and this time it successfully connected and I was able to sync my data partition to gdrive. I'm leaning toward internet issues because my bandwidth tends to vary wildly at times, so maybe gdrive didn't like the way my system was negoitiating the connection. If the issue resurfaces I'll update and grab the screen. I appreciate the assistance though, it's frustrating when problems solve themselves but I'm glad it worked this time. Have a great weekend!

I have the same issue. It comes and goes. I use the Google sync future to keep identical copies of my data on 2 pc's. Sometimes it works fantastic but most of the time it simply does not connect to my google drive and I get a timeout. I can retry as many time as I want it still doesn't connect. I dont think its a bandwidth issue since I can log into my gdrive from within my browser and it works fast and without any issue. Most of the time (but not always) if I re-select the directory it start working again but that means it would not work when I setup auto-run. Its is really sad though since its most definitely the best syncing software I've come across.
