Hi there, I have a folder with about 80k files on Windows that I want to monitor.
I already have those 80k files mirrored to my FTP cloud and started RealTimeSync.
I change 1 single file, and FreeFileSync is now comparing all 80k files to the cloud, which takes an estimate 8 hours.
Does RealTimeSync need to do this every time it recognizes file changes? Or is FreeFileSync only doing an "initial" compare of the whole folder?

See the last alinea of the RTS manual section.
As more than one file may have changed during the RTS idle time (which will restart the idle-time timer), or files may change during an FFS sync, FFS always needs to do (and does) a full Compare.
Note that not RTS does the Compare; RTS just launches the specified application (in casu: FFS) once a change in the monitored folder(s) is detected (and no new changes have occurred during during the RTS idle time).
The comparison is done by FFS, e.g. once launched by RTS.
