Hi,
I have a particular project.
When a directory get's updated I would like to zip the files and move them to replace the old zip.
Is this something that this product could do?
Would you be able to take this on as a project that we could pay you for?
Please let me know your thoughts.
Best,
Gilbert.

You want this to happen after every change? What is the goal?

We have a directory with over 200 000 files
most are quite small.
Since covid we need to get this directory structure to 12 remote PCs.
Using onedrive doesn't work as the sync cycle takes too long to check file changes and sync.

directory 1
sub directory 1
sub directory 2
sub directory 3
sub directory 4
sub directory 5
sub directory 6
sub directory 7
sub directory 8
sub directory 9
sub directory 10
sub directory 11
sub directory 12
I would like to have an automatic way to check for changes in all directories.
The directories that have changes should then be zipped with the "directory name.zip" into the onedrive directory
essentially 12 zip file and only the ones that changed get replicated to each 12 PCs.
On the PCs when there is a change in the zip files it should unzip the zip files into a destination directory.

Does that make sense?

It does, but unfortunately won't work. As FFS is only installed on one machine, it couldn't unzip them on the remote PCs. Sounds like a VPN with a network share is probably better suited for your use-case

Actually it would be copy to the local machine's directory.

One drive takes care of moving these files to the remote machine.

I would be happy to install freefilesync on each remote machine to check for changes on the local onedrive directory and then trigger the unzip

I would donate accordingly :)

Does this make sense...

Oh I see! Yes, that only leaves the one solution you provided... Hopefully you get something worked out!
